the idea for envvoy came while building treebeardai.com, an experiment in AI agent trust ratings. agent after agent had the same problem: invisible to the people who'd use them, and absent from every AI engine that might recommend them. envvoy is the infrastructure he wished existed.

the story

the tools to build AI agents and MCP servers collapsed in cost and complexity faster than anyone expected. a competent developer can ship something genuinely useful in a weekend. that's the good news.

the discovery layer didn't keep up. the marketplaces are fragmented, the AEO surfaces are new and confusing, and the indie agent or MCP-server builder, who already has a day job and a shipping problem, is also supposed to figure out llms.txt, agent-card.json, directory submissions, schema markup, and how chatgpt decides who to recommend. almost nobody does.

envvoy handles the discovery work so the builder doesn't have to. the website, the infrastructure, the submissions, the monitoring, all of it, for less than a dinner out.
